Bake-Off!

These are a denser almond cupcake with a delicious raspberry icing. I made these for the bake off competition, and was very pleased with them! I iced them in a rose pattern and they were really pretty.

These recipes were created for the bake-off my foods class had at the end of our dessert unit. Each team (either a duo or a single person) had to make four original (or semi-original, meaning that it was just a recipe they made more personal) desserts. The categories were: cake/cupcake, pie, cheesecake, and a specialty dessert (basically a dessert of choice). These are the recipes I used for my entries! I had a theme with mine—each has something with nuts, so be warned if you're allergic.

Okey-dokey, guys, this is a recipe that I've put on the recipies page already, but with my own nutty twist! It's a fun dessert for summer, or anytime of year you want that s'more taste. Of course, there won't be that smoked taste, so I really am sorry about that. I personally like a slight smoky taste with my s'mores, but if this pie tastes smokey at all...let's just say that's not good. At all. You might want to clean your oven or something if that's the case...

Who doesn't like an Oreo cheesecake? This is another recipe I've personalized by adding walnuts to the crust and and sliced almonds to the top. Pretty-pretty this one is.

Before this, I had been wanting to try Macarons for a long time. An interactive story game I adore had them as one of the power restoration things, and I really wanted to try them. When I was putting my recipes together, I needed to come up with a light, fluffy final choice to counter the thick heaviness of the pie and cheesecake. My awesome-sauce teacher suggested macarons—Perfect! I get the balance with my entries, and I get to try my long-desired dessert! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Hello! My name is Sayle, and I created this website back in my freshman year of high school as a place to put my writing, specifically the pieces I've written for school. I've wanted to be a novelist since second grade, and I've been a huge book-lover since before kindergarten. As of November 2016, I completed the first draft of my first novel. I'm currently working on the sequel, as well as several side stories featuring minor characters from the original novel. I hope to be able to get my extended universe, known comprehensively as The Elemental Spiral, published, or on it's way to being published, after I graduate high school. In total, I've written four books, two novels and two novellas, in addition to various shorter pieces.
