This is a character comparison essay comparing the Old Man and the Sea's Santiago and the Lord of the Ring's Gandalf. Its more than saying they're just both old men...

This was the big essay I had to do for our Odessey unit—we had to choose an abstact word that we could apply to Odysseus, a person we know, and a person (or group) which we known little or next to nothing about. I decided not to use one of the given terms (hero, courage, leader), and had my own aproved. Resiliency.

This essay is a comparison between The House on Mango Street's main character Esmerelda and her sister, Nenny. While they don't physically look similar, they are in deeper ways.

We made Matisse-style pictures for this assignment—mine is below.

This is my 100-word rant, which is exactly 100 words. TItled: Why Not The Classics?

This is my commentary essay, The Effect of a Simple Phrase. I have had countless drafts of this and am quite proud of it. I hope to stress the importance of not telling people they'll fail. (Seriously, please, just don't.)

Hello! My name is Sayle, and I created this website back in my freshman year of high school as a place to put my writing, specifically the pieces I've written for school. I've wanted to be a novelist since second grade, and I've been a huge book-lover since before kindergarten. As of November 2016, I completed the first draft of my first novel. I'm currently working on the sequel, as well as several side stories featuring minor characters from the original novel. I hope to be able to get my extended universe, known comprehensively as The Elemental Spiral, published, or on it's way to being published, after I graduate high school. In total, I've written four books, two novels and two novellas, in addition to various shorter pieces.
